TotallySafe Air Testing can sample over 150 liters of air per minute- all with just one testing device.

The average adult breathes about 12-20 times per minute with approximately 0.5 liters in each normal breath. When the TotallySafe Air Device is running, it samples over 1.3 million breaths of air in 72 hours. That is enough to fill over 129,000 party balloons. That amount of air coverage is certainly worth celebrating.

With such a high volume of air sampled, TotallySafe Air Testing is capturing particles from the entire space, yielding a complete picture of the biological pollutants – viruses, bacteria, allergens, and mold – in your air. This gives an advantage over traditional low-volume air samplers that sample ~5-15 liters of air per minute as it is much more likely those devices will not give a thorough reading of the indoor air quality of the space.

Imagine walking into a room filled with 129,000 party balloons or walking into a room with only 5 party balloons. That’s the difference between sampling with TotallySafe Air Testing for 72 hours or using old methods and sampling with a low-volume air sampler for 15 minutes.

How important is quality at AirAnswers?

AirAnswers® takes quality very seriously. We have a well-developed Quality Management System and a quality committee comprised of company-wide experts, who meet monthly to discuss improvements to AirAnswers® quality system. AirAnswers® laboratory holds an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation through the AIHA, for excellent laboratory practices.

In recent controlled studies, we have efficiently captured Sars-Cov-2 virus, which has a nominal diameter of 0.1 microns. In addition, in published studies sampling the domestic microbiome, our device captured numerous airborne bacteria including Staphylococcus, Porphyromonas, Moraxella, Sutterella, and Clostridium (Richardson et al. Microbiome (2019) 7:82). These bacteria range in size from 1-3
microns. Finally, in another controlled study, our device efficiently captured well-defined particles sizes of 0.1, 1.0, and 4.0 microns with equal efficiency.

How do you know you collect 0.1 micron in size particles?
